Safety

The University is your home while you're a student here and, like any family, we all have to pull together to make it the best place it can be. Learn about our See Something, Say Something program or report an incident.

The University's Emergency Notification System is designed to provide immediate alerts for emergencies and threats on campus. All students and employees must opt in to the Emergency Notification System to receive the messages. Sign up for emergency alerts.

The Rave Guardian mobile phone app enhances safety on campus through real-time interactive features that create a virtual safety network of friends, family, and Campus Safety is available for Apple and Android devices and can be downloaded from the appropriate app store.

Dialogue

Students of Concern is a campus resource dedicated to assisting students who may be in distress or experiencing challenging or difficult life circumstances. The SOCT also provides consultation and intervention when students exhibit aggressive, concerning or disruptive behaviors. The SOCT receives information from concerned parties regarding students who may be exhibiting worrisome, disturbing, or disruptive behaviors.

Courageous Conversations are roundtable discussions for groups of faculty, staff and graduate students provide an opportunity to learn and share your own best practices for engaging diversity and inclusion, both inside and outside the classroom.

The Office of Student Engagement and Leadership supports a number of student organizations that promote diversity on campus, view a complete list of student organizations.

The Counseling and Testing Center provides personal counseling, crisis intervention, and short-term psychotherapy for individuals, couples, families, and groups. Consultation services and workshops are available to student groups, faculty, and staff.
