As part of the University’s continued efforts to reduce the spread of COVID-19, it has created testing programs for employees and students. Students who reside in campus housing or who come to campus for classes will be randomly selected to take part in the COVID-19 Random Testing Program.

Participation in the RTP is strongly encouraged and helps the University understand how COVID-19 is affecting campus. It also assists in reducing possible spread among asymptomatic students. This information will help keep our community safe.

To assist with testing, the University has partnered with the Louisiana Department of Health to establish a free COVID-19 testing site in front of Edith Garland Dupré Library on East St. Mary Boulevard.

Students who participate in the RTP will be eligible for prizes donated from Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns Athletics, UL Lafayette Alumni Association, Association of Future Alumni, the Panhellenic Council, and the Office of Student Affairs. A drawing will be held every week.

If you are selected for testing, you will be notified by Dean of Students Dr. Margarita Perez via email. That email will contain more details about the program and testing process.
