Mental Health Week

Mental Health Week 2025 will take place Nov. 10 - 14.
Join us for events that relax, educate, and promote mental health awareness among students, faculty, and staff.
The University will observe Mental Health Day on Wednesday, Nov. 12, as part of Mental Health Week. In recognition of this day, instructors may release their classes early or cancel any class scheduled after 1 p.m. If an instructor chooses to hold class as usual, students are expected to attend.
This year also marks the introduction of the You Are Not Alone Award, a $500 Mental Health Week scholarship that recognizes students who engage in and reflect on their mental health journeys.
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be enrolled full-time
- Have a GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Be in good standing with the University
- Attend at least two Mental Health Week events
- Submit a 300–600-word reflection essay
Essay prompt:
Mental health awareness is about more than self-care; it’s about creating a community of understanding, empathy, and support. Reflect on what you’ve learned about mental health and well-being from this week and explain how you apply (or plan to apply) those lessons in your everyday life, both on campus and in your broader community.
Applications open Nov. 14 at 2 p.m. and close Nov. 28 at 11:59 p.m. Submit your applications online.
